I run a business too.
I’m Sean Ireton. I build custom software for small businesses where the AI works quietly in the background — because that’s the version I wanted for my own.
Every week there’s a new AI headline and a new tool promising to change everything. If you run a small business, it’s exhausting — and most of it isn’t built for you. I’m not here to sell you the hype.
I ran my own business for years, got tired of paying for bloated software, and started building exactly what I needed with AI. Now I help other owners do the same — sometimes by showing them how to use tools they already have, like Claude, sometimes by building something custom. No jargon, no pressure to buy tech you don’t need. Just AI that fits how you actually work.
AI should be like good design, or air — you know it’s there, but you can’t see it.
What I believe
The big tools — Copilot and the ones already in your stack — mostly bolt a generic chatbot onto their product and call it an AI strategy. It doesn’t adapt to how you actually work, so it sits unused. The chatbot isn’t the problem; stopping there is. What I do is the opposite: I integrate AI into your real workflow, custom, so it fits — doing narrow jobs well, without announcing itself. A chatbot has its place, when it’s the right fit and built in properly rather than slapped on top. Most owners just haven’t been shown what that can look like. That’s the part I help with.
And no, it isn’t here to replace your people. That’s the fear, and it’s mostly backwards. Used well, AI takes the draining, repetitive work off your team’s plate so they can spend their time on the parts that need judgment, care, and a human. The job gets more valuable and less daunting. People get more done, with fewer late nights and better balance.
I can say that with a straight face because I did it for my own business first. That’s the proof, and it’s the reason I trust the approach enough to build it for you.
How I work
First I’ll show you, in plain English, what AI can actually do for you — and what it can’t. Sometimes that’s pointing you at a tool you already pay for and showing you how to use it well. When a build is the right call, I take on the one or two things worth building, ship them in weeks, and price them on what they’re worth. Honest about the limits, specific about the results.
Want to talk it through?
If your business is losing time to slow follow-up, manual admin, or software you're paying for and barely using, tell me what's getting in the way. I'll tell you plainly what's worth building — and what isn't.
